The two men arrested upon suspicion of shooting at each other in a Centralia residential area Tuesday have been formally charged in Lewis County Superior Court.
Phillip D. Forbes, 44, of Centralia, is charged with single counts of first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and drive-by shooting.
Forbes faces up to life in prison for the assault charge.
Jonathan T. Maae, 29, of Tumwater, is charged with single counts of first-degree assault with a deadly weapon and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. He, too, faces up to life in prison for the assault charge.
