AL: Self Defense claim being Investigated

Investigators are looking at self-defense in a deadly Marshall County shooting.

Sheriff's officials say deputies responded Saturday afternoon to a fight call on Winkles Road in Grant.

When they arrived, 37-year-old Matthew Lee Ponder was shot and died at the scene.

The shooter was detained for questioning and then released.
