NM: Charges Dropped against Andre Michael Perez in Mobile Park Shooting

Perez told police he was acting in self-defense when he opened fire on Vallejos, who was later found dead with two gunshot wounds in his torso. However, several months later in March 2014, a Doña Ana County grand jury charged Perez with first-degree murder.

On Friday, senior trial prosecutor David Ruark, of the District Attorney's Office, filed a "nolle prosequi" motion in 3rd Judicial District Court in Las Cruces.
