Followup MI: Shooter acted in Self Defense
KEELER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The man arrested in connection to a July shooting is now being called the victim as the man he shot faces charges, 24 Hour News 8 has learned.
The shooting happened in the 62000 block of Gilmore Avenue just before 8 p.m. on July 18. Police arrested the shooter, a man in his 60s, and the man he shot was taken to the hospital.
As the investigation continued, it was determined that the man who was shot, a 54-year-old Illinois man, was the aggressor and that the shooting was in self defense, investigators confirmed Wednesday.
