NC: Neighbor Shoots Man who Shot his Grandmother

Detectives say a man and woman were arguing in a car as she drove down Pegram. According the police, the man shot the woman in the leg, causing her to hit a telephone pole. They got out of the car, and the man continued to shoot at the woman, investigators say.

The neighbor emerged from his house after hearing screams, and found the man pointing a gun at the woman. According to police, the neighbor ordered the shooter to drop his gun, but he refused. That's when the neighbor shot the gunman.
