George Zimmerman to get his gun back

THE lawyer of George Zimmerman says he expects to get back the gun he used to shoot dead Trayvon Martin.  Mark O'Mara said his client would need the Kel Tec 9 pistol “even more” after he was cleared of murder, in a decision that led to widespread outrage and protests across America.

In an interview with ABC News, Mr O'Mara suggested that Zimmerman has no regrets about carrying a gun on the fateful night.

Asked if he would carry a gun when he got it back, Mr O'Mara said: “Yes. [There's] even more reason now, isn't there? There are a lot of people out there who actually hate him, though they shouldn't."

With many critics angry over Zimmerman's acquittal, his freedom may be limited. He may also face civil lawsuits from Martin's family.

Mr O’Mara said Zimmerman may file lawsuits of his own over the way the case was handled. The lawyer added that his client will find it difficult to lead a normal life.

"If I was him I would go somewhere else," he said. "I don't think he can work. I don't think anyone can hire him... George is a pariah."
