AL: Mistaken Idtentity: Man Shoots, Wounds, Roommate in Jefferson County

A man was shot by his roommate in Adamsville after reportedly being mistaken as an intruder.

Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies responded to the 2800 block of Woodruff Mill Road shortly after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, said sheriff’s Deputy Chief David Agee. They were dispatched on a report of an accidental shooting.

When they arrived on the scene, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
