HILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are trying to track down a
man they say stopped a home invasion by shooting two intruders, one of
whom later died.
The break-in happened around 4 a.m. Monday at a home near Walker and Wellington Streets in the Tacony section of Philadelphia.
Police said two men wearing masks broke into the home by climbing up a deck and entering through a nearby window.
The
men went upstairs and stole a cell phone from a 9-year-old boy and then
held his mother at gunpoint in the next room demanding money, according
to police.
