TX: Neighbor Stops Attack on 5-Year-Old Boy by Shooting Dog

A 5-year-old boy is recovering in the hospital after being attacked by a dog in north Houston early Friday.

The boy was in the 7300 block of Alabonson shortly before 7:30 a.m. when the dog attacked him, according to the Harris County Precinct 1 Constable's Office. A neighbor who spotted the attack pulled a gun and shot the dog, which died.
