The man was involved in a fight between two groups. He shot at someone in the other group, who then shot back and hit him. The shooting happened in the 800 block of Sixth Street SW just before 10 p.m., the release states.
The man who was shot was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
