COLERAIN, Bertie County — A Colerain man faces multiple charges after a homeowner caught him during an alleged break-in and held him at gunpoint until a Bertie County deputy arrived, according to the sheriff's office.
The Bertie County Sheriff's Office said a deputy was dispatched around 9:14 a.m. Tuesday to a home in the 200 block of Sally Freeman Road for a reported break-in in progress.
According to the sheriff's office, the homeowner had the suspect at gunpoint when the deputy arrived.
