OH: Armed Woman stops Dog attack


When officers arrived, they met with a woman and her boyfriend. The two said they were walking their dog down the street when a gray pit bull charged and attacked their dog and tried to bite them. The woman then pulled out a gun and shot the dog twice.

7:31 p.m. — Mercy Regional Medical Center, 3700 Kolbe Road, an 18-year-old woman, who police said had two sets of dog bites on her right leg and a bite and scratch on her right hand, said she was bitten by a pit bull while walking in the 2700 block of Reid Ave, near West 28th Street. The woman said people at 2714 Reid Ave. took control of the dog and asked her not to call police, saying the dog has bitten people before and will be killed by the Lorain County dog warden.
