One victim, identified Tuesday by police as 20-year-old Deon Monzel Daniel, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
Opelika police say their preliminary investigation indicates Lark, Maturius Daniel, and the victim, Deon Daniel, were involved in a robbery at a home on Herndon Street, during which police say gunfire was exchanged with the resident and the suspects, resulting in the death of Deon Daniel.
