The Metro Nashville Police Department said the two men were allegedly there to commit a drug-related armed robbery.
Shortly after 4 a.m., MNPD officers responded to 2622 Murfreesboro Pike, where they found a man’s body on the ground and other evidence of a shooting.
The body of the dead man was identified as 42-year-old Brandon Watson, police said. His accomplice, 44-year-old Antione Ellis, was shot in the neck and drove himself to a local hospital.
