A 911 call was made shortly after midnight on Saturday. The Coroner’s Office says the shooting occurred after an argument on Colonial Drive near Easley.
First responders found 44-year-old Clyde Eugene Davis III shot multiple times. The coroner said Davis died from his injuries at the scene.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said Davis threatened to kill his father and tried to strangle him in bed while armed with a weapon prior to the shooting.
