Pace said the Warren County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) received a call just after 3 a.m. from a resident reporting a prowler had been spotted and shots had been fired. WCSO deputies arrived on the scene to find an adult female on the property of the caller. The resident, who admitted to shooting the woman, said she was on his property near a shed-like structure.
Pace said the woman was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital and released, adding no arrests have been made and the matter will be turned over to the Warren County District Attorney’s Office for possible review by a grand jury.
