Roman-Quinones argued with the victim about calling the police and again
assaulted the victim. Vazquez joined in on the assault. Moments later a
neighbor yelled for the two men to stop beating the victim, but they
continued the assault. The neighbor fired one shot, striking Vazquez in
the chest.
