Upon arrival, officers located two individuals, one who had been “pistol whipped” and the other who had been shot around 7 a.m. on the 1000 block of Langley Avenue, according to Pensacola Police.
Both were transported to a hospital for treatment, but the individual who was shot, Jamir Jackson, was pronounced deceased at a local hospital.
The preliminary investigation indicates the incident may constitute a Stand Your Ground case, according to the release.
