The deceased male has been identified as 18-year-old Kenyon Williams of Overland, MO.
On Saturday, October 4, 2025, just before 5:00AM, District 1 officers received a call for a shooting in the 3800 block of Tesson Ct.
A preliminary investigation revealed a citizen confronted two people breaking into cars. At some point, the suspects pulled a firearm, and the citizen fired at the car thieves.
One of the car thieves was struck by gunfire and died at the scene. The second car thief made good his escape. The citizen was not injured.
Homicide Detectives were called to the scene and are handling the investigation. The male who was shot and killed has not been identified, and a firearm was recovered at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
