TX: Man Fires at Robbery Suspects across Traffic

The man then went across the street, got his gun and waited for the suspects to leave.

Once they left, he started firing shots at the suspects across four lanes of traffic.

Deputies do not know if the suspects were hit as they took off, possibly in a Nissan.

A customer's car was hit by one of the bullets and deputies said the customer will likely not face any charges because he has a concealed handgun license.

A "customers car was hit" was the "customer" involved? If not why was it mentioned that "the customer will likely not face any charges because he has a concealed handgun license."

There has been no connection made other than he "was a customer." I place this on the same level as a theft in a Walmart and then mentioning other customers were not arrested....
