Two homes were broken into in the San Fernando Valley just hours apart late Sunday night into early Monday morning.
One of the homes targeted was located on Rye Street in Studio City at around 11 p.m. Residents were home at the time and a homeowner fired two gunshots at the intruder, police said.
Police said it did not appear the intruder was struck by gunfire.
One person was said to have made entry into the home and left by the time police arrived.
