Police say the incident began with an argument at bar between two acquaintances, then escalated when the shooting victim allegedly tried to assault another male with a gun and a knife. The other man then fired at the first, causing the injuries.
SAPD has made no arrests and the investigation is in progress. The departments also believes this to be an isolated incident.
