The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office reports the deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Bradley Marshall, of Madison County. Preliminary findings indicate that Marshall approached a customer in the parking lot of a local business and attempted to open the door of the customer’s truck, which was occupied by the customer and his family. It was reported that Marshall made statements indicating he was going to take the vehicle.
A physical struggle followed between Marshall and the customer. During the struggle Marshal reportedly struck the victim several times. During the fight, the customer retrieved a firearm from the truck and fired multiple shots, striking Marshall. The customer also sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Marshall died at the scene.
