TX: Harris County - Armed Neighbor Shoots Armed Robbery Suspect

The incident began when an adult male suspect approached the Victim outside his home and, at gunpoint, demanded personal property. The suspect, identified as Anthony Lewis Cantera, DOB: 01/07/2007, pointed a handgun at the Victim and took the Victim’s wallet and vehicle keys.

During the incident, additional residents of the home exited and confronted Anthony Cantera. Cantera pointed the firearm at one of the residents and discharged the weapon. That individual, who was armed, returned fire. Anthony Cantera fled the scene on foot.

A short time later, deputies responded to a report of a gunshot victim at a residence located in the 800 block of Nadolney Street—less than half a mile from the Aggravated Robbery scene. There, deputies located a male matching the suspect’s description, suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The individual was identified as Anthony Lewis Cantera. The Victim was able to identify Cantera as the suspect. Anthony Cantera was charged with Aggravated Robbery.

Anthony Cantera is believed to be involved in several additional robberies.
