On Friday at 7:45 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 4800 block of Berl Street and found 16-year-old Jaquavion Lewis, who had been shot while allegedly attempting to commit a robbery. Forsyth County District Attorney Jim O’Neill determined Lewis’ death to be caused by an act of self-defense, and no charges will be filed at this time.
